Derrycourt Wins Supreme for Nursing Home and Healthcare
The IASI Awards (Irish Accommodation Services Institute) awards took place on Saturday 30th January 2016 in Westport. The awards celebrate the overall cleaning of the accommodation services sector where they have 6 categories:
- 3* Hotel
- 4* Hotel
- 5* Hotel
- Hospitals
- Nursing Homes
- Colleges and Schools
The Entries
Derrycourt Cleaning Specialists had entered 18 sites under the Nursing Homes, Hospitals and 3* Hotel categories. These consisted of 7 Hospitals, 1 Hotel site and 10 Nursing Homes – 16 of which achieved Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Merit. Derrycourt achieved overall supreme winner for the Healthcare
- Hospital category for the Phoenix Unit and the Overall Supreme Winner for the Nursing Home category for La Verna Nursing Home.
The first Award ceremony presents the sites with either a Gold/Silver or Merit award. Any sites winning the Gold Award had the potential to be in the final 4 of the Supreme Awards
- For Nursing Homes, all 4 finalists in the Supreme Category were Derrycourt sites with La Verna Nursing Home winning supreme award in the nursing home category.
- For Hospital’s, Derrycourt held 3 of the 4 finalist roles. Derrycourt won this category for the Phoenix Unit.
We are absolutely delighted with these wins. In particular, the Phoenix Hospital was also the winner of the Golden Service Awards in October 2015, where this site achieved Overall Cleaner of the year and Cleanest Healthcare site in Ireland and UK.
