Dublin Simon Community's House of Cards Appeal
Over the years, the Simon House of Cards Appeal has become a vital resource for the work the Simon Community does to address and prevent homelessness nationwide. As we face into another hard winter, the Simon House of Cards aims to make a difference in the lives of nearly over 8,000 people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today.
This year Derrycourt is proud to again support the Dublin Simon Community’s House of Cards Appeal, to assist individuals facing homelessness. This initiative resonates deeply, urging all of us to seek ways to continuosly support the vulnerable most in need of shelter and support who might not find this time as festive as the rest of us.
CHI Christmas Fundraiser - A Seasonal Gesture of Support
The Christmas season at Derrycourt is more than just festivities; we have chosen to also support another cause close to our hearts, the Children’s Health Ireland Foundation (CHI).The funds we generated through our fundraiser will serve as a significant support for sick children and their families at Children’s Health Ireland, spanning Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly hospitals. Our efforts encompassed a series of activities designed to uplift and support this noble cause.

Our fantastic Derrycourt team rocked their merry knits to spread joy in style for a cause close to our hearts on Christmas Jumper Day! Vibrant colours of festive knits symbolised our collective dedication to fundraising for CHI. It was not just about the sweaters; it was about spreading warmth and care to those in need.
Derrycourt Quizmas
On 19 December, teams of 4 donated money to our CHI Christmas Fundraiser for the chance to don their thinking caps and best Christmas outfits to compete in our hilarious Derrycourt Christmas Quiz of random trivia and knowledge.
Our team’s unity shines brightly in the spirited quiz competition, each answer echoing our commitment to supporting CHI. Congratulations to the ‘Jolly Jingle Geniuses’ consisting of three department heads and an intern for their triumphant win!
‘3 Dubs and a Culchie’ won the best dressed prize with their thoughtfully designed t-shirts.
Raffle: Generous Contributions from Our Partners
We complemented our collective efforts with a raffle, the winners of which were revealed following the Quizmas event, enhancing our fundraising initiatives for the CHI Christmas Fundraiser. Our heartfelt appreciation extends to Bunzl, ICE, Diversey, Charlestown Shopping Centre, and La Mode for their gracious donations towards our raffle, making it a resounding success.
Remember the Vulnerable: A Season of Compassion
As we celebrate, it’s crucial to remember those who might feel loneliness and vulnerability during this season. At Derrycourt, we hold them close in our thoughts, ensuring our acts of kindness extend to embrace them too.
Through our collective efforts, the team at Derrycourt managed to donate an astonishing €1108.50. The commitment of our senior management to match this sum doubles the impact, resulting in a grand donation of €2,217 towards the CHI Foundation.
